信GO - An App for Pedestrian Signal Information
信GO is a free iPhone app developed by NIPPON SIGNAL CO.LTD. It is designed to provide pedestrians with information about pedestrian signals at intersections equipped with advanced Pedestrian Information and Communication Systems (PICs). PICs are systems promoted by the National Police Agency of Japan to support pedestrians.
The app offers several features to enhance pedestrian safety and convenience. When approaching an intersection with a PIC, users receive notifications through sound and vibration. They can also check the remaining time for the green pedestrian signal and the waiting time until the signal turns green on their smartphones. However, please note that these features are only available at intersections that support PICs.
In addition, the app allows users to request an extension of the green signal by long-pressing the screen or using voice commands. It also offers the option to customize intersection names and directions for easier recognition of pedestrian signal information.
Users can choose different audio or vibration settings based on signal changes, such as when the signal turns green, starts flashing, or turns red.
